Last week, the results of the 2025 County Council results were announced. The full results can be found here: https://www.shropshire.gov.uk/elections-and-electoral-registration/voting-and-elections/local-elections-2025/unitary-results-1-may-2025/
I would like to thank everyone that lent me their vote and showed support or found time to talk to me during the election campaign. I am a resident of Shifnal, and I will do my best to represent the Town, for all residents, not just those that voted for me.

Disability Access at Shifnal Railway Station
I recently received a complaint from a resident whose daughter had difficulty getting a pushchair across the bridge at the railway station in Shifnal. I have reported this, however I have also met with Cllr. Bob Hadden of Shifnal Town Council who has drafted a statement. Here is an excerpt:
Shifnal’s Growth & Transport Needs
“Shifnal is undergoing rapid transformation, with major residential and commercial developments planned under the Local Plan. The population has surged by 54% in just ten years, fuelled by multiple housing developments adding approximately 1,500 households. Rail usage has correspondingly increased, with passenger numbers rising by 9.54% in a single year, demonstrating the town’s growing reliance on train travel for work, education, and leisure.”
