Great news for St. Andrews Primary School

St. Andrews Primary School will receive an additional £12.6 million pounds of investment and is expected to open in 2026, being able to accommodate 420 pupils. I have previously visited the School and have been acutely aware of the shortage of suitable classrooms for students and had raised this previously with Council officers both in public and private meetings, particularly given the implications of Shropshire Council’s Local Plan. The large majority of funding will be provided by the DfE. The School had previously received funding for a two classroom extension, but this funding from the DfE will provide a much better long term solution.

Land at Lamledge Lane

Myself and the Town Council have raised objections to plans for the erection of 6 dormer bungalows within the development boundary for Shifnal. The Town Council has objected on the grounds that the development would represent the loss of employment land and prejudice the employment allocation in the emerging Local Plan.

Issues Reported to Shropshire Council

I have reported issues of flooding in Aston Street, Shifnal and also overgrown verges between Cosford and Albrighton to Shropshire Council officers and have also added the issues to FixMyStreet.
