County Council Election this Thursday, 5th July – Your Vote Counts!

Polling for the election of a County Councillor for Shifnal South & Cosford will be held on Thursday 5 July 2018, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Turnout for local elections is typically lower than in general elections, which is why your vote really does matter. I have included the location of polling stations below for those of you voting on the day.

I hope that you have had an opportunity to talk to me as I’ve been canvassing. If not I can be contacted on 07896 678725 or by email at ebirdshropshire@gmail.com. I am keen to hear what the issues are that you’d like to see addressing. If I am elected I will continue to use email and social media to keep in contact as well as attending parish meetings. My aim will be to always get back to you within a day of receiving your correspondence.

I am a local resident with two young children, and am affected by the problems that many of you have brought to my attention, which is why I will be fighting for the services that Shifnal, Tong, Cosford and Albrighton deserve.  I firmly believe that being part of the majority Conservative Group in the County Council would give residents a bigger say over policy than a single independent candidate, however good their intentions.

Whichever way you decide to vote, thank you for taking the time to read this. I have been delighted at how engaged the people of Shifnal South and Cosford have been and how friendly our discussions were, even if we did not share the same views all of the time.

Best wishes,

Ed.
